Hammocks:

Hammocks are a must for ferrets. Whenever they are taking a break from the weasel war dance, they are chillin’ in the hammock. It’s also fun to watch them pile up in them. Here’s a few of my favorites:

Leashes & Leads:

Again, this is simply a preference thing for what works best for you and your ferret. Here’s a few I like. A few suggestions I have: Make sure it is more snug than you think is comfy. As you probably know, ferrets can squeeze through extraordinarily tight spaces. This applies to leads as well. We’ve had lots of near escapes due to the harness being adjusted improperly. I would also avoid a retractable leash. If it slips out of your hand, it will snap straight to your ferret’s head. I know from experience (poor Boo, he was traumatized for quite some time!). Otherwise, most harnesses are acceptable.

Toys:

On to the fun part! Ferrets love nothing more than to PLAY! And they are serious about playtime. But proper toys are part of the whole ferret proofing gig. Absolutely no foam toys or any kind of material that can be chewed apart. Ferrets have vey sharp teeth and can tear up pretty much anything in minutes. They also have a very short digestive tract and it is very easy to have a life or death situation on your hands if a blockage occurs. So let’s just avoid that by purchasing ferret specific toys. Here’s a few of our faves:

	Thru-Way Tunnel All of our ferrets looooved this one! And we loved that it was clear and we could watch the action unfold. Hours of entertainment!		Super Chews Great if you have a chewer. Easily digestable, high protein. great flavors with no artificial stuff.
	Fuzz-E-Tunnel Ferrets love to fly through the tunnel, hide their treasures or themselves. Hours of fun!		Ferret Octo-Play Ferrets love to fly through the tunnel, hide their treasures or themselves. Hours of fun!
	FerreTrail Fun Same tunnel fun - the only drawback is that you can’t just through it in the washer. Hard to clean, but worth it. Also attaches to some cages.		Tumble Toy We called this toy our ferret’s “girlfriend”. He slept with it. chased it, dragged it around everywhere. Super cute!
	Dig Box It may seem silly to pay for a box of packing peanuts, but ferrets love them and these are made of safe materials to avoid a blockage.		Fun Tunnel Can’t get enough of the tunnels. Ferrets love to fly through the tunnel, hide their treasures or themselves. Hours of fun!
